Family Therapy
Families come to family therapy with concerns such as:
- Poor communication or recurrent fighting between parents and children or between children
- Major changes in the family such as divorce or separation
- Children or teenagers expressing sadness, anger or frustration through negative behaviour (aggression, drug use, etc.)
- Lack of warmth in the family
- Concerns about eating disorders, depression, anxiety or similar in one or more family members
Family therapy usually starts with a three-session assessment, depending upon the size of the family. Sessions thereafter are generally weekly for at least 60 minutes per session.
Parent Coaching & Co-Parenting
Parent coaching is a time for parents to receive support and constructive ideas about changing their interactions with their children during a one-hour session without children present.
Co-Parenting is geared toward recently divorced parents who are looking for positive ways to work together for the benefit of their children. It is a constructive program of weekly sessions aimed to help parents work together following separation and divorce.
Session fees for all of the above are £50 per hour. A limited number of reduced cost sessions are available based on need. Please contact me for further details.
